What Is Considered During Review

During review, IBFA may consider several factors that help determine whether an application aligns with the association’s standards and positioning.


  • Professional role and level of industry involvement
  • Company, organization, or brand relevance
  • Public professional presence such as website or LinkedIn
  • Years of experience and visible market activity
  • Quality and credibility of submitted information
  • Overall fit with the association’s selective international framework
Review Process
Applications are considered individually rather than through automatic approval. IBFA uses a selective review sequence designed to maintain a credible membership environment.
Application Submission
The applicant submits information through the membership form, including professional background and supporting public or business-facing details.
Internal Review
Submitted information is reviewed to assess relevance, credibility, and alignment with the association’s standards.
Decision and Follow-Up
Relevant applicants may receive the next steps regarding annual membership confirmation. Submission alone does not guarantee approval.
